10/29/2023 0 Comments Cnc cam software mach3A program like Fusion/Fusion CAM lets you design a part (CAD) and then put tool paths on it to cut the part. Mach3/4 like FANUC, Yasnac and so on are the actual machine controller it takes the code either written by hand or with a CAM package and actually runs the machine. ![]() Why is a seperate program like mach3 needed? As I understand fusion can configure tools, create the toolpath gcode, and from my very limited viewing mach3 only configures steppers and offsets then sends the code to the stepper driver such as my gecko 540. ![]() That was a poorly formed question and this one is about the same, sorry.
